So glad I discovered Rockwell Republic! Would like to hit up during happy hour (3-6p for $7 sushi, 3-7p for drink specials).Best place in Grand Rapids for happy hour. I also ordered a Dynamite Roll, which was about 8 pieces, deep fried, and it was really good. The waiter seemed new, she had no idea of what was going on there, but it didn't ruin my experience.
However, the chef can modify it for those who ate vegan and any allergens restrictions... Their sushi is amazing! !First time visiting for lunch and excited to return my next time in Grand Rapids. Complex flavors and nice environment.
Other specials include: Daily drink happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Daily sushi roll and share plates happy hour … As we waited nearly 10 mins to have our drink order taken we watched our waitress tend to a few tables of 4-6 "corporate" looking dinner parties.
If you have any suggestions about it, our bartenders would be happy to hear them. I highly recommend the Patatas Bravas or any of the sushi.
They have a wonderful little cozy outdoor patio on the 2nd floor as well if the weather is nice!

We ordered our drinks and then before we had a chance to order anything for our daughter she takes off.

This place has a great atmosphere and pictures of dogs on some of the walls. She returns a few mins later basically tosses our drinks on the table and states " we don't have any kids drinks or anything" with a large sigh and irritated tone.
Waited 15 min before I had to get up and find the hostess who sat us to find our server. I had the steak and eggs, with Parmesan peppercorn grits with 2 sunny side up eggs topped in bacon!!!

The sushi isn't as good the last time I went, but everything else was amazing and the sushi certainly isn't bad by any means! We ordered from the Brunch menu. My wife and and my 2 and a half year old daughter and I walked in to be seated in a hidden corner so as to be out of sight. When our waitress was taking care of the other tables she was providing very good service. It was absolutely amazing. ""This 5- star is strictly based off food.
